One of my favorite ways to practice creativity is with a camera. For almost 15 years I’ve had a camera in my hand, documenting my family’s life, shooting recipes for my blog, capturing the garden in full bloom and taking portraits for other people. I love it!

I love the process of taking the photos. Picking a beautiful setting. Playing with lighting and movement. I love making shoots a low-key and stress-free experience for people. I enjoy the editing process and pulling as much beauty as possible out of an image.

But mostly, I love capturing memories, personalties and relationships. Making natural photos that help people see themselves clearly. See how precious and beautiful they are. It feels so meaningful. Purposeful. Dare I say, eternal? Maybe not the photos themselves, but the souls being captured in those snaps.
